Service Support # 9-1905
PROBLEM:
When the Part 2 of the developer has turned darker than usually observed. Is the developer acceptable to use?
DISCUSSION:
The various T2 Developers have different formulations. Standard T2, as well as T2 Specific Mammography Developers: T2-MR, T2-AG, T2-ADM, T2-UM and T2-EX all contain chemicals components that may vary in color and effect the lightness, or darkness of the final solution.
All White Mountain Bottles & cases are dated with our “Packaging Date” and are warranted for 1-year from that date. This warrantee is good when stored at ambient (40 – 85 degrees F/ 4.5 – 29.5 C) in original sealed containers.
Evaluation & Use:
If the product is within the one-year warrantee, the Part 2 (small bottle) is perfectly acceptable to use, unless there were some storage problems. Storage problems would exhibit themselves as fallout or precipitates in the concentrate, the absence of which would qualify the solution as good. The Part 2 solution is very stable, over 2-years, and the darkening of the solution is normal as the concentrate ages. WMI T2 Mammography Developers is thus safe to use even when the Part 2 is quite dark.
